Timing Pulley

Our range of gear shaping equipment enables us to cut timing pulleys at speed and with accuracy. We manufacture timing pulleys to suit individual specifications and have been successfully providing first class results to customers for many years. We are able to supply timing pulleys in a range of sizes and varieties. We typically provide timing pulleys for use with applications such as control systems, optics, linear motion, manufacturing, medical, and many more.

Vee Pulley

We also have the facilities and capabilities to provide a range of high quality vee pulleys suitable for use with a wide range of industry applications. We can produce vee pulleys in a range of sizes and varieties. Please contact our friendly team at All Pulley and Gear Developments for further information about our capabilities and advice on solutions to suit your requirements.

Poly Vee Pulleys

Please also get in touch with the team for more information on our transmission pulleys. Poly vee pulleys are widely used to connect to engine accessories such as the alternator or air conditioning system. Timing pitches of different pitch or form can be manufactured.

Round Section Pulleys

If you require round section pulleys, please give us a call. We manufacture all types of round section pulleys in a range of sizes. Our highly skilled team can create bespoke solutions for the most challenging requirements.

Special Timing Pulleys and Gears

Our special timing pulleys and gears are available in a range of metric and imperial sizes. They are manufactured from high quality materials in order to be tough and robust and are finished to tight dimensional tolerances.

Gear Hobbing

APG Developments also owns a series of hobbing machines, enabling us to produce high quality gears, splines and sprockets with a fast turnaround. Gear hobbing is a process most commonly used for the manufacture of spur or helical gears, but is also often employed for the production of cycloid gears, involute gears and worm gears. It is an inexpensive process that provides highly accurate results. To find out more about our gear hobbing capabilities, please visit the APG Developments website or get in touch with our experts on 01634 722420.

Gear Shaping

We also possess a range of gear shaping machines that enable us to cut gear teeth extremely quickly and with highly accurate results. This is a faster process than gear planning, since cutting is continuous and the cutting tool does not need to be stepped back. We use gear shaping machines to produce both internal and external gears, as well as close-coupled cluster gears and splines. You can find out more about our gear shaping capabilities by visiting the APG Developments website, or alternatively you can give us a call and speak to one of our experts for detailed advice and guidance.

Gears

Here at All Pulley and Gear Developments we provide an exceptional gear manufacturing service. Our highly skilled and experienced engineers use a range of state of the art equipment to product fantastic results. Please contact us with your requirements or for further information and advice and we will be happy to help.

Chain Sprockets

We also manufacture a wide range of chain sprockets to suit customer requirements. Sprockets are widely used in bicycles, motorcycles, cars, tracked vehicles and other types of machinery to transmit rotary motion between two shafts where gears are unsuitable. They can also be used to impart linear motion to a tract, tape etc.

CNC Turning

At our 9,000 sq ft facility in Kent we operate several CNC Turning centres which enable us to produce highly precise components in line with customer requirements. Computer controlled turning offers incredible repetition and accuracy, meaning even the most complex components can be produced with ease. Outstanding repeatability results in a faster manufacturing process and therefore minimises cost of production – these savings are passed on to our customers. A faster manufacturing process also results in shorter lead times, meaning our customers receive their components sooner. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more about our CNC turning capabilities.

Toothed Bar Stock

We also offer various standard, toothed bar items or can create bespoke items to suit customers’ specifications. We use high quality materials and follow strict quality control procedures to ensure that all items are manufactured to the highest standards. Please get in touch with your requirements or for a quote.

Metric Tooth Forms

Our metric tooth forms are available in the following sizes:

2mm Supertorque
2.5mm
3mm HTD MR Supertorque
5mm HTD/T5
8mm HTD MR
10mm HTD/T10
14mm HTD
20mm HTD

Please contact us at All Pulley and Gear Developments for further information or with specific requirements to find out how we can help.

Chemical Blacking

Alongside our range of machining services, we also offer extra facilities such as gear cutting only, broaching, anodising and chemical blacking. Chemical blacking may also be known as black oxide treatment. It is a surface treatment that is used on steel and stainless steel to create a durable and aesthetically pleasing black finish. Chemical blacking is a low cost treatment that is widely used in industries and applications such as automotive, cutting tools, fasteners and other types of engineering products. Please contact us at All Pulley and Gear Developments to find out more.

Anodising

We also offer anodising services. Anodising is an electrolytic passivation process that is used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer found on the surface of metal parts. Anodising is used to increase corrosion resistance and wear resistance. It also creates a surface that allows better adhesion of paint primers and glues. Please contact us at All Pulley and Gear Developments with your anodising requirements or for further information. We look forward to hearing from you.
